The MAT 2025 exam is conducted four times a year in February, May, September, and December. MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a national-level management entrance exam conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA and allied programs in 600+ B-schools across India.

MAT registration for 2025 is ongoing for various sessions. The application fee for MAT 2025 is INR 1,650 for one test and INR 2,650 for two tests. MAT is conducted in both Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Paper-Based Test (PBT) modes, giving candidates the flexibility to choose their preferred mode.

MAT is one of the most popular management entrance exams in India due to its wide acceptance and multiple exam dates throughout the year. The MAT admit card is released about one week before the exam date. Candidates can choose to appear in either or both modes as per their convenience.

What is MAT?

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a standardized national-level management entrance examination conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) since 1988. It is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in India, accepted by over 600 B-schools across the country for admission to their MBA/PGDM programs.

MAT Eligibility Criteria

To appear for MAT 2025, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from recognized university
  • Final year students can also apply
  • No minimum percentage requirement
  • No age limit for appearing in MAT
  • Indian and International candidates both can apply
  • No restriction on number of attempts

Note: While AIMA has minimal eligibility criteria, individual B-schools accepting MAT scores may have their own specific eligibility requirements regarding minimum percentage, work experience, etc.

MAT Registration Process

MAT registration can be done through both online and offline modes. Follow these steps to complete your registration:

  • Online Mode: Visit official MAT website mat.aima.in
  • Click on 'Register for MAT' and fill basic details
  • Verify email and mobile number through OTP
  • Login with credentials and fill the application form
  • Upload required documents (photograph, signature)
  • Choose exam mode (PBT/CBT) and test city preference
  • Pay application fee through online mode
  • Offline Mode: Purchase MAT form from AIMA office or listed banks
  • Fill the form and send to AIMA with demand draft

MAT Exam Pattern

The MAT question paper consists of 200 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) divided into five sections. The exam duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.

Important: There is no sectional time limit in MAT. Candidates can attempt sections in any order they prefer. Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for all sections except Indian & Global Environment.
